Les Quatre Étoiles, meaning "The Four Stars," was a Congolese soukous supergroup that illuminated the African music scene, particularly in the 1980s and 1990s, following its formation in Paris in 1982.

The group brought together four highly respected musicians — Nyboma Mwan'Dido, Wuta Mayi, Syran M'Benza, and Bopol Mansiamina — each already established through successful individual careers.

Their collaboration modernized Congolese rumba, injecting it with a crisp, vibrant sound that propelled the soukous genre to international popularity. Characterized by dazzling guitar work and rich vocal harmonies, their music produced pan‑African hits such as Sangonini and the global disco success Doly.

Although the members later focused on solo careers and contributed to the acoustic rumba revival band Kékélé, the legacy of Les Quatre Étoiles remains a definitive reference for the "Congolo‑Paris" sound, placing them among the most influential ensembles in the history of African dance music.
