Daughter of Cabo Verdean parents in Senegal (father from Fogo, mother from São Vicente), Ceuzany lived in that country until the age of two, when the family returned to Mindelo. In 2008, she was awarded in a gala contest for singers from the island of Fogo. It was on this occasion that Arlindo Évora, from Cordas do Sol, found her and invited her to join the group. Between 2007 and 2013, Ceuzany brought her distinctive charisma to the band's concerts and albums.

With her first solo album, "Nha Vida," released in 2012, which included the track "Último Chance," Ceuzany reached a high point in her career, establishing herself as a solo performer. "Ilha d'Melodia", her second album, is a work in which the singer lets herself be enveloped by her Mindelo, transforming the island into music and memory, as a setting. This album brought a fusion between tradition and intimacy, where Ceuzany, shaped by emotion, makes her voice an extension of her story. This album is her perfect portrait in harmony with Mindelo, where tradition and experience merge into a single soul.

In 2022, while listening to a compilation of Cesária Évora, the French artist Christophe Maé discovered Ceuzany's voice, which immediately captivated him and made him move heaven and earth to find her. He decided to travel to Cabo Verde, and there they recorded the single "Pays des Merveilles". The meeting would mark his album "C'est Drôle La Vie" in 2023 and lead to a major tour, in which Ceuzany participated as a special guest.

In "Pedra Run", the single released by Lusafrica in 2023, Ceuzany directly addresses the impact of drug consumption among youth in Cabo Verde, serving as a social alert to denounce the devastating effects of crack/"pedra", and how this reality can affect families, especially the youth of the islands.

Her most recent album, "No Tchal Tê Li", released in November 2025, conveys strong messages about the reality of domestic violence, focusing on power dynamics, fear, silence, and isolation faced by victims, profoundly affecting women and families in Cabo Verde and around the world.
