SOREN ARAUJO TRIO

Soren Araújo and Hélder “Pelada” Rodrigues, two guitar virtuosos of our music, refuse to be trapped in classic. They intertwine effects and voices, creating vibrant contrasts with the usual harmony-rhythm and melody.

With his strings and the percussiveness of his guitar, Soren brings the greens of the forests and the musical winds of countries he explored during his journeys as guitarist for musician Mário Lúcio. Furthermore, he also shares the guarded essence of the majestic mountains of Wales, the land he chose to call home.

Helder will certainly have in his musical imagination the whistles of the valleys and mountains of the island he calls his own, Santo Antão. Sometimes, they mix with the roar of the sea, creating a unique symphony that echoes through the masterful mountains - the concept that serves as the backdrop for this spectacular moment.

However, even if trips through the mountains of Wales and the island of Santo Antão in Cabo Verde allow this concept to fly, it need to be anchored. For this task, Soren called young drummer Alex Figueiredo as helmsman who, along the two musicians, will turn the KJF stage and the city of Praia into a portal to worlds where experiences intertwine with art in a unique captivating way.
